I have a powerglide steering column hooked to a TH350 and when pulled down for manual shifting it only goes into second so you can't hold it in low. Is there an adjustment or a solution for this or do I just need a different column with all 3 gears?

Seems someone on this vast forum of experience and brains would have came along this problem sometime, somewhere before. Any sugestions?
Hi, I had the same problem with a 350th swapped into a 1966 el camino. There is a rod that comes down off the column that is part of the shifting assembly. The rod slides into a sleeve that is near the frame of the car. The sleeve has a 1/2'' bolt that adjusts its position on the rod that comes down. This will in turn, adjust the amount of deflection of the shifter bracket on the trans. Kinda confusing to explain but this will solve your issue. Let me know if you need some pictures.
