I dont know if this is the correct place to post this question but here it goes anyways.

If I sound like I dont know what I am talking about I probably dont!

I have recently purchased a early 80's SBC 350 that I want to build up. I have also purchased a 700r4 that I plan on putting behind the 350. When I purchased the 350 it didnt have a flex plate.....So my question is how do I know I am buying the correct flex plate that will work for both the transmission as well as the starter on the 700R4?
