That is for the converter lockup, when you convert to an earlier vehicle you don't use all four pins you need a kit that goes from there to the brake pedal so the converter will disengage OD when you slow down.Go to www.transmissioncenter.com they have a real simple to install kit,if you need more info call their Tech line they are real helpful.:) Look for part# 12LU
Here's another link that I have found helpful.

In many cases, you don't need a rewire kit.
Mike
there ar 3 wires in the plug the front outer gets 12 volt + connect the other 2 together rear is solinoid ground the front inner is 4th gear switch . if you do it you will have lockup in 4th gear only you need nothing else it will unlock when it down shifts into 3rd.
Camaro Mike, don't forget, you will also have to hook-up the T.V. cable (Throttle Valve) and adjust it properly or you will burn up the trans.
Mike
As mentioned above, the TV cable installation and adjustment is critical. Improperly done, the transmission will not shift correctly and you may destroy the transmission under certain conditions.
Go to this web site:

These people (Bowtie Overdrive) have a lot of experience in 700R4 swaps and they make several kits that address everything from the wiring to the TV cable. They’re very nice to talk with and patient beyond belief with what must seem to be easy or “dumb” questions.
Have Fun,
Glenn
