4L80e Brake
Hi,
I'm now planning my parking brake installation for a street rod project with a 4L80e.
I wanted to avoid running brake cables to rear calipers and I was told that motorhomes had 4L80e transmissions with a brake assembly mounted to the trans tailshaft.
Is this something to consider so I can connect to a gennie or lokar floor mounted emegency brake handle to the trans.

They are on p vans like bread trucks they are big and ugly.

Never heard of a brake mounted to the trans, but they make them to mount on your pinion www.tsmmfg.comConfusious say: He who dies with the most toys, Wins

They are a large drum style. Too long in a hot rod IMO. They are used in large trucks/Motor homes, thus are sized for something in the 7,000 lb range and up.
TSM kits are around $250. Others make them also.
