a mate of mine bought a b&m trany pn#127045,for his nostalga rail,$3,436.66.
he informed them it was going in a rear eng rail alky 454 8/71,on alky.
trany arived, mmm its a shorty glide 1st mistake, should be a long output shaft,
b&M mistake shiped wrong trans.
mm seans how were in australia what do you do.
so took it to a mate's house and asked if he could swap output planet and change to a std length shaft sure no problem .
so removed pump,top gear drum,planet ect,std clutches, std rings, std,band ,
it keeps getting better,so he thought we would check reverse clutch mmmm, the reverse clutch set up was a shock for us as follows piston, 2steels, clutch ,clutchsteel clutch steel clutch steel and a standard cast pressure plate .the sorvo piston was jamed so hard in the bore,a pair if vise grips were needed to remove it
the mistakes by b&m keep getting better by the strip down of this fine $3000+ transmission, supposte to handle 1000+hp.so to cut a long story short and a $1000 later of good parts from sonax later a well built trans brake/ glide.from dave,so the motto is do not buy shit from overseas,as they do not care as you are 13000 miles away,
besides the fact that they built one shitfull transmission that we fail to see how it could have passed their dyno check,
