Chev 4L-60 question
I was scanning through some adds and found this, wondering if anyone could tell me anything about it. Will it hook up to a SBC 350, are the frame mounts close, can it handle much power, is it bigger than a t400,....????
Any comments welcome:

It'll bolt up but requires a seperate computer to control it. Basically it's a electronic version of the 700R4.

That would be the 4L60E version. The older 4L60 was all mechanical using TV pressure valving and basic pressure settings for shifts and shift points. The 4L60 designation was used from the factory as a production unit but always called a 700R4 as a generic term such as the TH350 and TH400 etc. When you have a code designation such as 4L60 or 4L60E, it's to diferrentiate between years and electronic controls.
