From my own experience in dismantling something I've neverdone before and have wanted a reasonable chance at having it work right when it was put back together...take lots of PHOTOS, step-by-step, of your dismantle(even better if you have a video camera to record everything). Countless times I've done this for myself be it working on various parts and pieces of a car to re-furbishing 2 spd winches on a sailboat(I swear there are more little parts, springs, roller bearings, gears, shafts, etc. in an Anderson sailboat winch than there are in some car transmissions:0). Just a tip that works for me.
