ford AOD wiring harness
I have a question? has anyone ever installed a AOD trans. behind a 302 with out fuel injection in a 33/34 ford coupe, and if so did you need a wiring harness to make the AOD shift correctly ,if so where did you get it I not having much luck, what about trans. frame bracket did it need serious modification my car has a C4 in it now.

I'm not sure the AOD needs an electrical circuit. I put one in a 68 Falcon, behind a 302 ( freakin screamed ) and all I needed for the swap was the kick down linkage ( also scrounged from the junkyard ).
Now, a chevy 700R-4 is a different matter. They DO have an electrical lock up torque converter.

Thanks guys I did some more research and found that a ford AOD does not need any electronics but the AODE does you are right firebird77 all I need is the "TV" cable.

One thing you really need to understand before you dive in:
the AOD cable has got to be adjusted RIGHT.
With the turbo 350 for example, an inacurate adjustment will cause poor shifts. With the AOD ( or the 700R4 ) it WILL tear up.

As far as I know the AODE needs a wiring harness. The AOD has to have a TV cable properly adjusted but TCI has a Constant Pressure Valve Body that is supposed to alleviate most of the problems with the TV cable adjustment. I suggest getting a hold of TCI and talking with them about it.

AOD swap
I used the Lokar AOD TV cable and bracket on my 302 SBF:) it made for an easy install.
