transmission swap turbo 350 to th700

My transmission in my 1981 GMC c1500 recently went out. It was a TH350C(MV4). I have a good used TH700R(MD8) out of a 1989 truck. I was wondering what would be involved in swapping in this tranny? The TH700 doesn't have a tail housing so I would have to get one, I am not sure if I would have to change the driveshaft or not and what else I would need to modify? Has anyone attempted this conversion?

there is a 2" diff in the trans, you will have to shorten your driveshaft, the cross member should have atleast one hole that will line up and you will have to drill the others, you will need a throttle cable bracket depending on what your running on top. for the tc lock up you will need a later model brake switch to supply voltage to the tc solenoid (A term of four pin plug) splice b
term and d term of the (four wire plug).

Contact www.tciauto.com and they have all the info on the trans switch and parts needed to make the switch.I found with mine I had to shorted the drive shaft and make a larger floor pan(700R4 is bigger). I also had to do some wiring changes in the 700R4. They helped me with it all.
