    65 Impala 400TH Tranny Problem

I have a 65 Impala with a 2 speed Hydramatic 400 transmission in it.I was driving today and all of a sudden the car start jerking forward really bad when the car is in drive. So I pulled over and checked my fluid and from what I seen, everything was ok.So I started the car back up and put it into drive again and it got worse.Even when I was holding the brake down, the car was still jerking forward. Then I pulled over again and re checked everything.I was about 5 mins from my house so I thought I would atleast be able to get it home. When I started it up again and put into drive the car wouldnt even move at all.It wont move in reverse or any of the other positions. The drive shaft isnt spinning. What could the problem be?There were no signs of transmission problems before. No slipping or anything unusual. This just happened out of nowhere.Any help is appreciated. Thanks,

    Eazy

if its a th400 eazy its a 3 speed. if its a 2 speed then it would be a powerglide. need to check the fluid, either way it dont sound good. sounds like the conv. might have gone bad. time for a rebuild maybe.
