Does the linkage go into third position or only go as far as second:confused: . I assume park reverse neut. low and second are OK.??
disconnect the linkage from the transmission, shift the tranny by hand, count your clicks and see if it's goes on all gears,if so then try your shifter, see if it's working also,if so then put tranny in park( buy hand) and then shifter in park
and hook up cable.....
Is this something that happened on a working tranny, or did you put it in fresh and it won't work? Has it been worked on lately?
drop the pan and check the other end of the cable, maybe the kick down is stuck in 2nd gear
yes, i was driving it and i turned ontoa different street it down shifted all the way into 1st with no problem then shifted into 2nd no problem then no shift into 3rd.no indications prior to this that thier was a problem
