torque converter options
I just blew my TH350 in my 72 chevelle so I am planning on throwing in a rebuilt upgraded one. While I am at it I would also like to upgrade my torque converter but am not sure what stall rpm to get. I have a 350 small block bored .30 over with comp cams 268 camshaft, S/R 67cc torquer heads, an edelbrock performer intake, and edelbrock q-jet carb. Any recomendations on selecting a torque converter?

The looser you go on the converter, the worse your fuel mileage will be. I would though, if I were you, change to a 1,800-2,200 stall converter. It'll make the car more of a pleasure to drive on a daily basis and increase performance slightly because the converter will allow the motor to come "up on the cam" a little sooner than a stock converter. That's just my opinion. Others may see it a little differently.

That sounds like about what I was thinking. I was told stock is 1500. So 1800-2200 wouldn't be too much of a difference and would still give me what I'm looking for. Thanks for the advice.
