how to tell if my T-5 is a "world class" series
Here's the scoop:
I just picked up a rebuilt T-5, bellhousing, new clutch, new pressure plate, and resurfaced flywheel for $250!!
I'm fired up because I think that's a pretty good deal. I was looking it over and the front seal on the input shaft says: "W.C. Div." on it. The trans is also a mid-mounted shifter (S-10) as opposed to the tail mounted shifters found in the camaros and mustangs.
Assuming that this may not be a world class T-5, how well do you think the tranny will hold up behind a mild 283 and not beating up on it while driving?"If I didn't wake up, I'd still be sleeping"

I found out my trans is a non-WC unit.

It should work fine if you're not going to be pounding on it constantly.Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!
