How to date a C-4
I have a C-4 in my Stang and after the latest build on the motor it seems my cam has stolen my vacuum to power my tranny. So i was thinking of putting a manual valve body in, But I cant remember the physical description of 65-69 C-4's to see if it is a early model. Any help would be appreciated

b4 doing that, try a vacume can and see if it helps.

I agree , try the vacuum can first, you dont have to buy a new one, just rob one from an old lincoln or big merc. Your trans case will be stamped or cast with a casting number. All you need to be concerned with is the first 2 digits (example = C9__) where C= a product from the 60's, and 9= the year, hence 1969. If it was biult in the 70's it will start with a "D". D6 = 1976. Good luck.

Awesome Guys! Thanks for the help I really have been struggling to get it going again and I did alot of work to it, 280* Comp Cam and I knew that without the shift kit I would burn up my tranny so I'm not sure if it is the camshaft killing vacuum or if I got trash in the valvebody so I thought about vac. can but wasn't sure. Thanks!
