Is B&M Transpak too harsh for street?
I have a 70 nova with a TH350. I am really thinking about puttin a shift kit because my 2nd to 3rd shift is quite sluggish. The B&M Shift Improver Kit seems to be the obvious choice but I also intend to take my car to the drags every other weekend or so. This is my daily driver but i would really love snappier shifts for the weekends! The Trankspak comes in Stage 1 and Stage 2. It claims to be for performance street use. Would the Transpak be to harsh for daily weekday driving? Which kit do you think I should go with??? Thanks!Supernova!

I've used the transpak in a few t-350's and they are fine for street, especially if you like hard shifts and catching 2nd.
I perfer going to a full manual valve body also.Objects in the mirror are losing

i don't know about you guys but as long as its not raining or slick, there is no such thing as "too much" on the street....I really love when you can hit 3rd and chirp!

A hard shift is great, until that day you are driving to work with a stiff neck... Also, if you are real talented, you can learn to manipulate the shift using the gas pedal. Give yourself a soft shift when mom is in the car, else just let it slam down when you're giving a ricer his come-uppins..
Education is expensive. Keep that in mind, and you'll never be terribly upset when a project goes awry.

I've used the trans pac in a couple of my cars but have allways used the middle kit, Shifts firm not real hard till, you really hammer on it. Then it scratchs the tires when it shifts.
I thought it was a great street strip kit .
Just my two cents, Hope this helps.

I've got a stage-2 in my C6 tranny that's in my '53. I really like it. I say put it in and "chirp" away.
I’ve been out of the loop on here lately and I hope everyone is doing okay. There have been a lot things going on with me and I had to put all of my extra projects on hold for a while. I’m pleased...
