Probably one of my last inquries into this board until I get another problem started with my car

I have a 66 Impala with a Powerglide II (2 speed), with the original 283 in it. The car has seen about 120,000+ miles and I'm wanting to throw in a 350 V8 from a later model Chevy that I picked up for about 600$ from a guy who desperately needed to sell the rebuilt motor.

MY Question is.. what torque converter, type, stall rpm, ANYTHING about the torque converter i should know (because i don't know jack about them except that powerglides are pretty badass) I should get so that I can install a 350 (with i'm guessing a few performance mods installed.)

Any help would be greatly appreciated. For reference this motor isn't a super bad 500 hp crazy motor its more like a stock 350 with maybe a new crank, pistons, and an Edelbrock performer carb sitting on it.
