AOD + Stall Converter 'how to set"
Does anyone have any experience with setting a Ford AOD with a Stall converter for shifing. I set it one time before, with a gauge and setting it to 33 psi for proper shifting. But I want to add a stall coverter, how would I go about setting the Shifting Linkage on it with one on. Since with a stall coverter it wouldn't start to move in D till 2400 RPMs would setting the normal [in N at idle @ 33 psi] be the same or will I have to go about setting it in a diffrent manner. Thanks for any and all help you can give me.

if the proper setting for your throttle pressure is 33 psi then thats what it needs to be. changing conv. wont change that. if you put a 2400 stall conv. in your trans dont mean that the car want move until it gets to 2400 rpms. at light throttle it will act pretty normal and at WOT you will need the TP anyway. put the conv. in and i think the trans will take care of itself. if you have to move the accl. down futher to get the car to move will give you more TP anyway which will make the trans. shift. later and thats whats you want. it wouldnt hurt to read up on stall conv. before you install one, they are not for everybody. JMO **)

I have infact read up on them and for what I'm bulding it serves my needs perfectly well ... but it seems finding the info about setting them for a AOD isn't around and doing a search on Google for a forum to search for that info sent me here.
I figured it would be the same. Since that is setting the pressure .. and it's the same. Thanks for reinforcing my first thoughts..
