Shift kit? th350
ive seen these shift kits for the th350 which one is better than another? what exactly do they do and can you tell the differce?

there are shift kits available from mild to wild. If this is a street-driven car, a shift kit will be fun for about 10 minutes, then you'll be sick of being jerked back with every shift. At least that's been my experience.PLANET EARTH, INSANE ASYLUM FOR THE UNIVERSE.

tech is right about the mild to wild. it just depends on what you want. they can make a big dif. in the shift. in my younger days I always put the wild and the older I got the milder the kit got. it will help save the clutches in the trans. if you are doing a lot of drag racing. for the old farts GM try to make the trans shift as soft as possible under normal driving, but if you're doing a lot of WOT shifting then you need a kit installed. get somebody that know what he's doing to do it, or you may be walking.Mike

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
