I am wondering, why just a door? Furthermore, why on the passenger side only?
Objects in my rear view mirror are a good thing unless,.... they have red and blue lights flashing.

Because it is expensive to put these or any extra features on a T-bucket Body.

    Pass door only??

Yeah I never understood that one either until I owned one!

The passengers door opens because the steering wheel is so freakin close to the drivers door its kinda pointless as you cant get in the seat, even me as a skinny guy seen no point in it..

IF you make the steering wheel come straight out from the floor its even more pointless...

Getting in and sliding over from the passengers side makes it simpler for driver and passenger..

Anyway as the driver wouldnt you want to hop in?

    Passengers are LAZY hahahah

IF you have a roof you better have some real flexability to get in the thing with no doors at all.. like packing 10 pounds in a 2-lb cup..., They are FUN, But it's like a BIG dune-buggy, You either enjoy the fact that you gotta hop-in or you hate it..

There is no way on EARTH you are going to get my wife to step on a tire to get into a car anyways.., Thats like asking to pass-up a Yard-Sale on a saturday..

Women.. Cant live with em.. cant live with em..

Oh!, 15 years this past July ! hahaha

"I dont hate you honey.. I just cant stand you is all..."

Unless I am mistaken the 26/27 "T" was the first in that series to have doors on both sides of the open cars. The earlier cars had front seat doors on the passinger side only.

    Rob,

Good point, the steering wheel is in the way.

But, the real reason we put the door on the passanger side is because we knew that you wouldn't want the door on your side and that your wife would insist on having a door on her side. Wanna buy one?

    Passengers Doors...

    Jessica,

Actually alread had 2 in my past.. one was VW powered, custom frame and all fiberglas hotrod parts (body was WON at a car show), Other was 302/C4 that got to about 80% then I had KIDS!.. Arrgh..

Latest one is steel 1931' Chevy pulled from the woods and built only with Junkyard parts (somethine like 332 pages now, check my profile I think its website link is in there??), You will eventually see the VW unit.. lotta fun (back then), I would say that winning a T body for FREE is what started this whole addiction waaay back in the early 1980's

How about a CONTEST for one of your BODIES??

And your right about the door.. If I could get in and she couldnt then she wouldnt be going right?

(Hmm.. Remind me to not have a pass door on the next car..)

    hahaha

    Rob,

A contest for one of our bodies is an excellant Advertising & Marketing idea, when I tell it to my boss I'll pretend it was mine. Really - that is a good idea, thank you.

I love your latest car! Personally my favorit hot rods are the ones built with original parts. I even like the rust & dirt. I don't have, or have ever had a hot rod of any sort (I'm only 24 by the way), but I did just recently purchase a mountain bike that has coil-over rear suspension and hydraulic suspension in the front! It's blue.

My step-father has 4 different hot rods: a Model A, a 32 Roadster, some sort of touring car & a chevy truck from the late 40's. And of coarse at work I'm surrounded by hot rods, mostly model T's & we are currently putting alot of work into our line of 32 Ford Roadster Convertables, so there is quite a few of those around.

Streets thanks so much for the interesting fact. You are as informative as you are charming.
