G'day all, a Q from down in Oz.
I've a '36 "Henry" pickup, chopped, chanelled & suicided with Z'd chassis & 4.09 Jag rear.
Up front's a big ole '44 Caddy sidewhacker.
Question is, what IFS do I stick under this lump to provide some ride n' handling sympathy with the Jag rear yet look trad.. Fatman's Vintage IFS, split tube swing axle setup, looks cool but I can't find any feedback re it's behaviour on the road etc etc. Appreciate all & any feedback cos' I've found jack so far.
Cad Allards from the early 50s had the same kind of front suspension and they were killers sports cars in their day.

Very poor design. Lots of camber change & tire wear. The camber changes double the amount of a solid axle because the wheel pivots from near the center of the car.
The best design is a IFS.
I think I would pass on this one..... If you want to know how they handle, go drive an early 70's Ford pickup, they didn't work good then and the design is the same.
