shorty shocks
I have the front shock kit from Chassis Engineering for my 47 Ford, and I have no room for shock movement. I emailed them and they recommended P&J shorty shocks. I checked out the specs and it says compressed the shocks are 7.8". I measured the distance between the mounting bolts as it sits and it's at about 9.75"
Is that enough travel for a somewhat decent ride?

As it sits you'll have 2" of compression travel, and assuming equal extension nearly 4" of total suspension travel which is good, lots more than I have on the '32 and '33.

If you are running a straight axle just put friction shocks on and be done with it.
