i've been shopping around for a frame to use on my 56 big window build.
well that aint gonna happen . 7500 to 8k. i can do a lot of cutting and welding for that. so i will be searching for threads on the c4 conversion .hope to start it in early summer .

yeah. i'm planning on using c4 vette suspension on the truck along with an ls drive train . 8k for a frame really kills a budget . no saying a custom built frame is not expensive but i have what i need to do it . was just going for speed so the build would take less time.
do you already have a C4 set up????????
I think I have a couple in storage-from GM factory test cars that they had to dismantle because didn't fit all the safty laws--------probably less than 1500 miles -------and its a Dana 44 -not a 36------from 1996 special edition-----
With all the aftermarket stuff out there, could you put together a suspension close or equal to a C-4. I'm not sure I know enough about this to even ask questions .

Yep I know what you mean by no more aftermarket suspensions--------It was because of customers having fabbed up stuff that lead me to buy a Hunter alignment rack-I could fixture and work with alignment as I went--------and it was one of the older STRING versions!!!!!!!!!!
Bump steer, brake anti dive, drive shaft angles, etc

$2400 bucks, you weld it. Already cut to fit your specs and desired suspension design. Over a complete fabbed frame this will save a TON of time. Money isn't that bad when you start pricing tubing.
