This sounds like a silly question, but I just can't remember. Is the splined end of a Vega Pitman arm tapered, or is it just the output shaft that has a slight taper? (Mine has a 1" upward offset. The reason I'm asking is that I may need to flip it over. It's a long story but (he who shall not be named) set up the front suspension so that the drag link attachment point on the Pitman arm is too low. That causes two problems: 1) it causes the drag link to rub on the lower bar of the hairpin, and 2) it makes it out of parallel with the panhard bar. If I can flip it over, I gain 1.25" at the steering box end of the drag link. That corrects both of my problems.
