I don't know much about R&Ps but I would think 10 years on a street rod would be good??
Seems like every time someone asks Unisteer is a name that pops up - Search By Product | Unisteer Performance . Don't know anything about them personally, but if I were looking that's where I'd start. That said, I wouldn't think that a street rod R&P would be gone in ten years unless you're driving the wheels off of it, but I would be looking at all of the other front end components that might not be as smooth as they were when new. Tie rod ends, ball joints, and all of the other friction points. Are you sure they're smooth, tight and greased?
I drive a lot love crusing around I do my best to keep every thing greased an tight. I'll check with Unisteer
Thanks
Flaming River makes a good unit though a bit spendy!!! If it's the Thunderbird style unit with power steering, they are also available remanufactured from most any parts store. Big thing on any re-man part is to make sure the company doing the rebuilding does good work!!!! Helped a buddy swap his out couple weeks ago, same type situation as your car, think he said the cost on the reman unit was like $150.00 or so....
