Hi,
I have a 67 cougar and I am ready to have the rear end built. I am going to be riding on 15" wheels. I would like to remove the leaf springs and have the rear end built with 4 link brackets. I don't want to alter the frame. But I am ready to install recieving brackets for a 4 link set up with coil overs. Is this reasonable?

Not without altering the frame. What tire/wheel size are you planning to use? I thought you said 10" that's why I just had to ask??? What rear end are you using?:CRY:
I'm getting a 9" ford, the tire is a 29x12.5-15, and the rim is 15" center line with a 3 3/8" back space.
I guess what I want to know is, to install a four link sup,do you have to narrow the rear end? If not I known a cross member will have to be install for the brackets to match the backets on the rear end housings. But what about the mounting of the coil over shocks?
I'm not a ford/merc. person , but I'm guessin' 12.5'' tires won't fit in the stock well. Soooo, if that's the case, you have to tub it and move the frame rails in to fit the 12.5's . 4 link isn't a bolt on n' go process. I've got some 4 link pics. in the gallery. You'll probobly find others there too. I would back half the car....no...second thought.....I would put a full chssis under it cuz' I just don't know when to quit.:LOL: :LOL: :LOL: **)

Yes. With that size tire.
