    jag front and rear

     



    hi guys, i am looking at putting a 1974 jag front and rear into a international pickup. can anyone give me any tips on installing one of them. anything would be much appreciated. Frank

    Frank.............if you have welding skills and a good grasp of geometry , grafting Jag suspension should not be that hard. This is not a beginners job and if you don't have said skills, you should get someone with them to help you.

    Frank, here's a link on another forum where a guy installed the Jag frontend in a '64 Ford F100. It might give you some ideas. Slick 60's • View topic - -TECH- Jag XJ6 IFS into F100

    Well guys, I will answer the hard questions first eh. The front bit goes to the front followed by the rear one at the back. If you get that wrong, you just may have trouble I would think.

    We put Jag ifs and irs in our '47 Ford sedan about fifteen years back.
    I don't remember any major issues, in fact, from memory it was a very easy install.

    Having said that, the link randyr posted is excellent!

    You won't go very far wrong by following that...
    (But pay attention to what whiplash said too...don't get 'em 'round the wrong way!)

    '47 Ford sedan. 350 -- 350, Jaguar irs + ifs.
    '49 Morris Minor. Datsun 1500cc, 5sp manual, Marina front axle, Nissan rear axle.
    '51 Ford school bus. Chev 400 ci Vortec 5 sp manual + Gearvendors 2sp, 2000 Chev lwb dually chassis and axles.
    '64 A.C. Cobra replica. Ford 429, C6 auto, Torana ifs, Jaguar irs.
