First off, welcome to CHR, good having you on here with us all!

Well, IMO the subframe deal has been terribly overdone and I've seen a lot more of them done wrong then done right!!! One of the problems no one considers before taking on this swap is that they are putting on a bunch of old, worn out suspension pieces that weren't that good when they were brand new. Another item of consideration would be altering, modifying, or fabricating new front body mounts, mounts for the radiator support and front sheet metal, etc.

There are many companies offering good front suspension packages, most based on the Mustang II geometry. The initial cash investment may be larger, but in the majority of cases the final result is well worth the extra expense. Many times, when you consider the price of rebuilding or replacing all the worn out parts on the old Camaro subframe there is very little difference in the cost and the labor is considerably less when using one of the aftermarket suspension packages specifically designed for your application....
