I really like my old '71 pick-em-up, but everytime I sit in the thing I get a noxe bleed from the height!!!! I don't like the dropped I-Beams, don't like the I-Beams that well either.... About time to get it back in the garage and ready it for sale... Thinking maybe a custom straight axle for the front, then put the thing on bags...... With a straight ax, no absurd camber angles when you drop the air to cruzin' level.....

Hey Dave,
Just my two cents but if you are going to sell it why don't you put the suspension under her that will make the truck the most sellable? I don't know much about these trucks but does it sell better with the I Beam set up on her? Perhaps just a rebuild and send her on her way. Let me know if Im missing something. Don Jr.

Don't know, haven't put it up for sale yet.... Way things are these days, not sure what is going to make it sell best or quickest. Most everything in the ads is stock, thinking maybe unique would stand out.

Sr., won't have time to be bothered in the '57, too busy bangin' gears and havin' fun....Did get a line on another Doug Nash 5 speed today, got to try to chase it down...Be nice to have a spare! Got to get the old Super T-10 (street trans) dug out of the shed at the farm and go through it, too.....

Panther chassis/ Crown vic front stub just about bolts on. that would be the way to go to get it lower. Also provides good geometry for air bags..

Don't want IFS on a pickup, everybody's been doing that for a long time.....Still get goofy camber when you drop the bags, did one.

I agree with the camber with bags dropped. Id like to bag the 48 when i get round to it but only for parkin in the weeds but will have to watch the rear tubs when they camber in (jag irs/ifs).
