Air Bags ??
Just started a new project last week. This one is a 1935 Diamond T that the plans are to make it a Toter Hauler rig.
Body is going on a Chevy 3500 Dually chassis and will be the new home for my Lance camper. I want to this truck to have a stand alone Air Bag rear suspension. The Lance is heavy at 4,429 lbs, so I am trying to get air bags rated heavy enough for this load. And that brings up a couple of questions;
There are dozens and dozens of companys selling air bags, however no where can I find a rating for these bags in lbs. Plenty of bags in the 2,500 lb range but I'm looking heavier. Something like the ones on the drive axle's of 18 wheelers. I believe these are in the 18,000 lb range but just can not find any information. Anyone know a place to look for specs?
Also any one know if the bags if run dual on one rear wheel, say the 2,500 lb bag and if I ran two of these at each rear wheel, would that double the carring capacity? or do they even work like that?
