Brakes for 37-48 Ford spindle for a T?

Been a while since I posted here but I figured you guys would be the ones to point me the right way.
I've got a '25 T C-cab and I'm putting a superbell i-beam axle under it with the 37-48 Ford spindles. I'm looking for some kind of bracket setup to run Mustang II rotors and calipers or even something just as small. Stock Mustang II rotors are 9.25 dia and perfect for a T. I'm only finding brackets for the 49-54 Chev spindles?? I'm not interested in Wilwood stuff and I think anything over 10" on the front of this thing is too much brake. I need to keep the brakes small so they will clear 14x6 Star Wires that i want to run.
Any help at all would be apprecaited! :D

Dan, I think the reason you are having trouble finding a kit for the MMII rotors has something to do with bearing size. I looked on Speedway's site for you and they do offer them for the modified Chevy spindles, but as you mentioned, I see none for the Ford spindles.........only the larger GM brakes for those.

You might call Speedway and discuss it with them and find out if they truly don't have them and why. From experience I can tell you the heavier GM setups create some handling issues on a light T car. Your only option might be Wilwoods..........$$$$$$$.

I've been suspect to running the larger GM brakes on the smaller car, so good to know about the issues. My T is a little heavier that most other Ts as it's an all steel C-Cab Delivery. Still really light by comparison with other 30s cars though.
I've talked to Speedway on a couple of occasions and they were not able to locate me kits or even just brackets to use the MII rotor/caliper setup. They suggested contacting one of their brake manufacturers to see if something could be engineered and produced. That sounded pretty expensive to me so I left that as an option B or C at this point.
Right now I'm doing research on an old '70's era disc brake swap that use to be popular on the 37-48 spindles. Guys would use mid 60s Volvo 122S front disc brake calipers and rotors along with either a spacer or custom bearing and machining along with a custom caliper bracket. Dad said he did thins swap back in '72 on is '32 Five window and it worked great. He said he ran 14" aluminum wheels and recalls the rotors to be 10 or 10.5 inches in diameter.
I commend Wilwood for putting out a kit, it's just not in my price range. I know, I shouldn't put a price on a safety item like this but I think there is still another cheaper, just as effective way. Part of being a street rodder! :D
