Ok, it's time to start the front suspension on the 'maro... It will be a modified version of the stock setup the '82 came with... Stock spindles. Mods are coilovers on the top of the OEM style strut, moly single lower arm with a locator (IE same style as a late model asphalt car), and front mounted rack and pinion. Going to use a sway bar, but it will be a torsion bar with adjustable end links, thinking it will be unhooked for drag strip days.

Anyway, the rack mounts will be built to get as close to zero bump steer as possible... What I'm looking for is a setup that will offer the least rolling resistance with the skinny little drag tires on track day, but when I put the 8" rims back on for the street I'd like it to handle like a slot car. I know I'll have to make some comprimises, but I'd like to be able to go from street to track and not have to change anything but the front tires and wheels...

Any input as to where my thinking may be wrong, or what specs I should be shooting for when I start fabricating pieces????
