    Pops.......he may have a tube axle fabbed by some T "kit" outfit somewhere over time. I've seen some 6" (Speedway I think still sells them), but agree with you, 7 would be very deep. 5" drops have become more common of late with the super low fad crowd, available in both I beam and tube.

    BTW, I just noticed the other day that axles have taken about a $100+/- jump recently, world price of steel and iron is catchin' up.
