I had the same problem with a disc brake kit from Speedway Motors. The calipers were rebuilt GM metric calipers but they were retapped for 7/16 x 20 banjo bolts. The banjo bolts bottomed out against the edge of the piston in the caliper. Ground a little bit off the end of the banjo bolt and that fixed the problem.
