understood...I just didnt realize the superide was offered with not much shine. i thought that's what the MII version was for...more of a budget/low maintenance option. good luck with it...i hope to order mine soon before that back order on the spindles gets worse.'35 Ford coupe- LT1/T56, '32 Ford pickup, 70 GTO convertible, 06 GTO

The Mll is great for your app with bigger fenders. I think some notching of fender is still needed but not sure . Heidts has the superide ll for larger car and truck apps also.

Hey stang, The crossmember I purchased from Chassis Engineering. It's universal cut your own length for about 50.00. Although I could have made it very easy cause I have my own bender I'am just lazy.

If you are going plain, consider powder coat rather than paint. And if you like shiny, there is a chrome-silver color as well as almost any other color you like. Originally Posted by bluestang67 Originally Posted by bluestang67

Regardless of the nay sayers, powder coat is much tougher than paint and yes, it can be touched up, if necessary - with paint.Dave

 Hey Guys:
What do you search on on e-bay to find this stuff? I'm looking for a Mustang II cross member for a '40 Chevy. I'm thinking about a CI bolt in but they are a little pricey. The weld ins are about 1/2 the price. I can install either but thought the bold in would be easier and quicker. I have a Mustang II front clip for the other parts. Who is having the best sale? I'm going to run a 250 c.i. 6 cyl with a 200-4-R. Any suggestions on a rear end and gear ratio? The rear tread is 60".

 Goto Ebay motors.

Enter - Mustang (sub frame, subframe, frame, front end, frontend)

Thats a start - it returns any items with

 'Mustang' AND
'sub frame' OR 'subframe' OR 'frame' OR 'front end' OR 'frontend'

add 'cross, crossmenber' in the parenthesis for more possibilities.

Always use commas and a space after each comma in the parenthesis section.

While were on the subject of Suspension, I have a complete original front stub and complete rear end with all brand new parts drum to drum off a 56 Chevy that I will give to anyone out there that wants to come to St. Louis and pick up. I put a Stang ll complete front on a customers car and all the original stuff is on a pallet at my shop just taking up space. Get the word out to anyone that might be interrested before I send it to the junk yard, contact me at roy4345@sbcglobal.net

I went with Heidts on my BBC powered '34 Ford Sedan Delivery because I felt the eccentric would move too easily. Alignment is much harder, but it shouldn't need to be repeated.

if your going to use por15 you best throw the parts out in the rain first. that junk will peel right off clean metal. por stands for paint over rust .
