Mini-tubbing my fox body, and i was wondering, how close can one mount the shocks.im thinking around 20" apart.to stay inside the frame rails, and to keep out of the way of everthing else.
any suggestions?

the stock shocks are long gone now btw,
How radical are you getting on the back half of the car for the tubs? I usually like the top mounts a minimum of 20" and for street use try to run the bottoms wider to achieve about 10 to 20 degrees for a better ride. If you are going drag racing, then vertical is fine. BTW, really like the anti-roll bar set up, has to make the back end a lot more stable????
If the shocks are angled, I would set the lower mounting bolts to be perpendicular to the axle rather than parallel to it. That way, the shock would be pivoting on the bolt rather than trying to flex the rubber - and maybe bend the shock. If they're vertical, it shouldn't matter.
more drag , some street, vertical is what i was doing. i just didnt want them too close together. the antiroll bar is great, the car dont twist up like it used to.Quote:
