Hi, I just finished puttin an LS1 into my Studebaker (Love it!) and had the same question. Yes the Camaros have that balance ring, but I was told you really don't need it. I am using the same yoke I had in my Turbo 350 and it is working fine. It has the same splines for the output shaft and diameter for the seal. If you have the drive shaft and yoke from the Corvette that will work you could certainly use that. I do not know what U-Joints you might need. If you are having a drive shaft built, you could take the yoke to them and tell them you want to use it. Then you would get whatever benefit Chevy felt you needed from the balancer ring. There is a great resource for folks doing an LSx conversion over at www.ls1tech.com. They have a Conversion and Hybrid forum with many experienced and knowledgable contributors. They are a friendly bunch too. Read the stickies and use the search tool before asking questions.

Hope that helps.
