elky shocks
I tried raising the rear of my 68 with new air shocks alone, and the rt mount tore out at the top,had to put in new coils too to make it last. If you want to run just the coil overs, you'll probably have to fabricate stronger upper mounts. Hope this helps you,Hank

I suppose you could just mount a coil over in the stock A-Arms but you would have to do some modifying on the lower arm to mount it... QA-1 does have the pin mount tops available that would go into the stock location but the bottom is a crosspin mount so you would have to do some changing to mount it. They do make tubular lower and upper A-Arms for the Chevelles and ElCamino's that are designed for use with coilovers. If you are just wanting to lower the front, get a set of dropped spindles for it....Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!
