Welcome Denis. There are lots of options when you are considering suspension systems and this has always been an area of interest to me. Like Dave said, the quarter-elliptical springs have made a big resurgence in the past couple of years, especially in fenderless cars. Another type of suspension that I favor, but has never been really popular because they tend to be misunderstood, is torsion bars. I have used torsion bars in the front of my last 3 hotrods and in the rear of a friend's Anglia. If they are installed proprly they ride great and ride height is adjustable. In my '31 Ford coupe I am using a '62 Jeep station wagon front axle with AMC disc brakes and hairpin radius rods suspended by '86 Nissan pickup torsion bars.
