Question 38 CHEVY Power Steering ??

I want to install Power Steering to the original straight axle on a 1938 Chevy Coupe. I have done this up-grade before on a 56 Chevy Truck (original Axle) I bought the parts from "Golden State Pick-up" I was wondering if anyone has done this on an older Chevy ?? Pump and brackets are no problem because the old coupe already runs a small block chevy engine. Thank You. Regards, HonestFrank

    Honestfrank.
The Isuzu Trooper or pickup power steering box is a good choice for your Chevy. A friend used one on a 40 Chevy and loved it. He even put one on his 67 Mustang and said it was almost a bolt in swap. Two of the mounting holes lined up with the holes in the Mustang frame.

    Hi Al,
Thank you for that info. I'm not fimilar with Isuzu ?? What year , 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel ?? On a 56 i used a 1985 Chevy 2 wheel drive truck steering box, but i was able to buy mounting plate, steering arm etc. from Golden State. I'm going to go look at some Isuzu's. Thanks Again.
