would like to hear opinions on IFS

I am workin on the frame now ,and still feel the need for a rack and pinion front crossmember. The truck has been lowered 5",6" and now the (stock)lower a-arms sit pretty level.From what I read this is where I want to be ,but still think the stock steering is heavier then what I would like, I am cutting down weight where ever possible.I am getting some reading on front suspesions,but would like to see what others who have used different brands of IFS can come up with.Looking for the best steering possible for 65 chevy truck thats being completely redone,it will also be carying a big block,thanks.

Well Driver, my opinion is u will need a strong frt end if running a B B. But u could possibly find some lighter weight a arms, or aluminum engine parts to keep the front from pushing too.

You may be able to incorperate a different sub frame. I know several guys that have welded in Camaro or Nova front frame with everything you need right there, the right springs, steering, and motor mounts for the BB. They are also better driving than the stock Pick-up suspension, you can get one with power steering.
