i have a 49 pontiac street rod with ls1 engine because of the lighter weight engine i had cut 2 in. off coil springs, i did this with a cutting torch, iit caused a stiff ride. does anyone know what type of coil spring i could use without cutting? something that i could pick up at the salvage yard. i was told monte carlo springs would work but did not get year of m c . thanks hayless
