Tips on replacing strut bushings?
First, I am new to this site, and I thank anyone willing to give me a hand in advance. My 65 tbird suspension rebuild is well underway. I bought a ball-joint remover and thought all the other components I bought through Kanter would be replaced easily. However I am having a heck of a time tring to remove the old bushings from my front strut. I've used penetrator on the castlated nut but it wont budge! The problem is that the strut torques when the nut is turned. I ve use a monkey to no avail. I have tried reconnecting the strut to the lower control arm but then whole control arm torques! The kit i bought came with no instructions and even the origional shop manual fails to adress......please help.
