    IFS/IRS.....Corvette

Have any of you used Corvette IFS and/or IRS? Lets hear what you have done. Did you buy a kit to install it? Did you use a C3/C4 or C5?

Not yet - But some one in Florida is making a C5 frame for streetrods(too expensive) & several are making kits for the C3 & C4 suspension.

Just trying to start a thread to educate Forum members.

Looking for C4 IRS to put in my Z

Hi Guys, I'm looking for a IRS system to put in my Z.

I'm planning on building an outstanding perfomer with quite restrictions:
1- the engine (at least the block and EFI) has to remain stock in appearance. (58mm throtle body, ported plenum and runners)
Stroker kit for the block (I know it would have been easier cheaper to get a 350 but I don't want to do things as everybody does)

2- I've stiffen up the chassis to handle the power improvement as well as suspension components (traction bars, panhard shocks and coils, bla bla bla......)
3- I got a TKO with big clutch and big shaft for same reasons

It is quite a performer but I'm not satisfied.
I woke up this morning with one thing in mind: I WANT AN IRS !!!!

So, I'm looking for a guy that have done the job on a 3rd gen.
I don't think I'm the first one with that goal.

Well, if you guys have heard about that swap, feel free to e-mail me with informations and maybe some pics.

    Thanks to you all.

we have a 37 ford with c4 frt and rear , and also just finishing a 55 noamd with c4 rear . the 37 was already mounted . we did the 55 using the c4 vette parts and made all brackets hangers and frame rails , but it was not easy to figure out all the degrees of angle for all the moving parts unless it is still mounted in the car it is comming out of , so take plenty of measurments of the rear before you take it out .
fatman sell a front clip for c4 , the guy in flordia is mike adams , but hold on to your pocket book .
yes i drove ,the trailer didnot drive it's self
