hello all!
I have a 81 c10 that is setup for the street/strip i have some springs that i got from work that we mod. up they look like they are carbon fiber it lowered thetruck a lil bit but heres the prob.
picture fish taling instead of the ass end sliding back an forth the body rolls back and forth like a fish taling but i have noticed it is worse with the tire pressure not rite in 1 tire a lil low and the other 1 is up. the lil lady doesnt like riding in the truck now:HMMM: :CRY: :3dSMILE:
if the tires are 1/2 flat it will do this. have you check the air?:HMMM:Quote:

Sounds like the spring rate is just a bit on the soft side. Some higher rate springs and a good anti-roll bar should cure it.
its not really 1/2 flat its just softer than the other. hte spring rate i have no idea what it is i do know that they where given to my shop years ago for gaging purposes the are for electric ford turcks that where used to get around a plant and some electric mail trucks so they say
Ever thought of putting the original springs back in? The thing sounds dangerous the way it is. Sometimes we just have to bite the bullet, admit we screwed up, and go back to square one.
R Pope you are correct but i bought some M/T radials and it corrected the problem i will not say what condition the other tires are in
Yeah, new radials can cover up a world of problems, but they are only new for a little while, and the problem resurfaces. Don't let a potentially dangerous combination slide because it seems to disappear.
