I am building a 50 Merc coupe. Frame is off the body and I need some ideas on front suspension. I would like to keep most of it but I would like disc brakes and I want to support an early Hemi engine.
Has anyone put this engine in a Merc? Are there any motor mount kits for this setup. What changes should I make to the front suspension.

The original Merc suspension isn't much to write home about. I built a steel Merc a number of years back and used the front of the frame and all the suspension off a mid 80's Crown Vic cop car. I have a 'glass Merc I'm doing now that is on an '83 Crown Vic chassis and I've built full frames for a couple other Mercs. There are some pics in my gallery if you're interested. merc suspension upgrade info here , includes everything to upgrade to a ball joint suspension w/disc brakes W/O changing the the front clip.....joe
