its not we don't want to help you xgx, its just a deal if you've never did this before and somebody here try to help you and you go and hurt yourself then we would feel bad. you need to get someone that's changed springs before to help you the first time, because you can get hurt, if you don't know what you are doing. id like to help, but i wont for that reason. **)Quote:

I'm curious as to what makes you want to change the springs out. Regardless, Mike is right. There's so much energy still in those springs even with the car on stands, that it's nearly guaranteed you'll lose some bodily function if you unfasten the wrong thing at the wrong time. It's like a steel trap. The front suspension is the main problem. Farm it out!
while on the subject.
I am pretty much done with my front end rebuild, i used the super front end kit from p.s.t.
I never thought it would be as much trouble as it was. Well I'm doing the work at an auto hobby shop in the navy. The thing is that they dont have the neccesary tools.
I understand the danger with the coil springs, i have a prob. I dont have a spring compressor to put the springs back in. I used a jack to take them out. The internal ones are to big to fit through the shock absorber mount, and the strut ones dont work either, i had to try since the internal ones were to big.
Does anybody know if there is a specific one i need and were i can get one. I've already tried renting one, that did not work either. This is really frusrating, all i want to do is drive my car before i go on deployment. Sad to admit that this is kicking me in the rear.
