4X4 Suspension Set-up
Hey Guy's need some help;
I usually hang out in the Deuce Den , but am helping my son whose into 4X4 Trucks with his, anyone out there have 4X4 knowledge ? Question, he's mounting Ford 1 Ton axles under his 96 Chevy 1/2 Ton, We've got the front Diff. installed but how do you set the " Pinion angle " on the front in relation to the Transfer case, is it done the same as you would on a rear end ? ie. protractor on the yoke of the t-Case and the same on the front Diff yoke,making sure their parellel ? the king pin angle is ~ 4 deg, neg. ( to the rear ) . How much angle is too much angle on the drive shaft for the front ? He's installed a 6"suspension lift and a body lift. not sure if I've given enough info. but we'll see where this goes and progress from there. Thanks in advance for your input.skiball
