De king,
To give you the best answer we need more information.
1. What is your budget?
2. How will use the car? Race, street, some of both? Be honest here with how you will use it most, you will not like a race suspension for a lot of street driving.
3. Do you plan to lower the car or plan to have an air adjustable suspension?
4. Do you plan to do the work yourself? What are your skills and equipment? Or do you plan to have someone else do it?
5. Are you building the car ultra modern, retro or somewhere in between?
6. How much power does the car have?
7. What has been done to the frame, if anything?
If you supply that information, there are very knowledgeable people here who can provide suggestions for you

no work done to the frame,i'll do myself, 385 hp 350 chev ,streetrod, cheap i have a79 camaro lefs an shocks somewhere between mod an somewhere between i have all the eqip.
If it's a street rod for cruisin' I would go with a triagulated 4 bar. If you already have the leaf springs and your building on a budget, that's not a bad way to go either.
I'm guessini' Wheelie bars. That's where I have mine (Top) mounted.Quote:

I dug up a pic. of my wheelie bar bracket set-up. I moved the top two bars inside the shocks. I have frame rail clearance issues mounting them outside the shocks.
That is a bit confusing Tech, if it is for a pair of wheelie bars.
Using your leaf springs would be the simplest and cheapest way, would also give you a decent ride. Leaf springs also leave you room to route exhaust. Also given your body style, the rear suspension would not be real visible, so spending the extra to install a 4 bar or 4 link would not pay off with a lot of visual impact to most folks viewing the car. You would need to locate and install anchor points on the frame for your springs. On the other hand leaf spring suspensions are not nearly as trick as the others and are not as easily adjusted for ride height or tuned for performance. Good luck with your project

Chassis Engineering, Posies, and others offer parallel spring conversion kits. Good set up for the street.
Depending on what rear end you have narrowing and possibly custom axles will be required.
