Leaking Exhaust Manifold
My 69 Mustang has developed a leak in the exhaust manifold that is audible and visible. Unfortunately, the nuts are rusted onto the engine block, making it nearly impossible to remove. Is a leaking manifold a serious problem, or can it wait? Does it effect the car's performance and timing?

Get PB blaster and spray on the bolts, it's the best rust eating penetrating lube i'v used. If you decide to get headders remember to torque them and then after running the engine up to temp, torque them again, it prevents leaks from the gaskat surface. torque them to specs both times, don't overtorque the second time.Last edited by Matt167; 11-01-2004 at 04:14 PM.
