340 trans
Will a 340 bolt up to a 904 trans.
Or do I have to get a 727.
If so do you know where I can get one?

Maby I'm wrong but, a 904 is the smallblock trans, 727 is the big block trans so yes it will fit.You don't know what you've got til it's gone

727 trans
A 340 will bolt to either a 727 or a 904. A 727 is just stronger. A lot of 360s as well as 340s run 727s as well as the big blocks.

There are small block 727's and big block 727's, bolt pattern is different for each.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon
It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.
